In response to What constitutes sexual abuse? posted by ttots5:

Hi there, ttots5,

Yes. It is a boundary cross to say the very least. Your body is yours. You are the one that gets to decide what you do or do not want - not anyone else.

If your husband cannot respect your boundaries, generally, and specifically in this area, then you are not safe to be with him right now.

You need to make sure that you are heard and to know that you have every right to be safe from any and all unwanted sexual advances.

What you describe your husband has done, is abusive. It is a violation of your stated boundaries, your body, and your trust.

If he doesn't understand this he needs to get professional help.

Take care of you,
A.J.
