I really can't give you much feedback because you haven't explained the situation, or what you mean by "episode". However, it is likely fair to say, whenever two people are in a relationship and have an "episode" that transpires between them, I don't think that it is all the responsibility or blame of just one person.

I would think that you would know what you have or haven't done. You need to balance that against what your partner is saying.

Depending upon what the "episode" was, what it involved, you may want to either consult an objective third party or consult a counselor.

It is possible, in a relationship, where abuse takes place, that one partner blaming the other is, in and of itself, a controlling and/or abusive thing to do.
