Hi Alba69,

I am not mental health professional but it is likely, from what I understand, that being a survivor of ritual abuse would in fact create abandonment issues.

Whether or not what you experienced happened as early as the abuse and/or abandonment that those with BPD experience I cannot say.

From what I understand about ritual abuse it often involves sexual abuse and that is often a central experience with many who are diagnosed with BPD.

You may want to talk to a mental health professional to find out more about what you are dealing with and to have support for your journey of recovery if you don't already have a therapist.
