» jesika15 - Parental Alienation is one of the worst types of abuse

I recently read an article regarding parental alienation being one of the worst kinds of abuse, most people who are doing this is only considering "getting even" and controlling their spouse and not what is right as a parent. Nobody has a right to do this to not only the person they had a child with but the child. How can a parent claim to love their child and care for their child while destroying one of the most important relationships in the childs life. Speaking poorly and causing problems which does not allow a normal parental relationship harms the child because they love that parent equally. After reading this article my thought was, you would have to be a very sick individual to think that you can abuse and control your child in order to prevent them from having a normal relationship with their parent. It take two to have a child, both parents are entitled to the same relationship with their child regardless of the jealousy of one parent. As a parent, in my opinion your parental obligation is to support your childs relationship with their other parent. Also, you have no right to intrude in that relationship and perform acts of parental alienation to hinder that relationship in any way. If you perform these acts your child will eventually see you for how you are and what hurt you have caused their parent and use those behaviors against you.
